Stem Cells Cloning

-scientists have cloned stem cells from human skin and egg cells. This is significant because the process could eventually be used to produce organs or other parts that are genetically identical to the patient's own, and therefore, pose no risk of rejection when transplanted.
Stem cells are primitive, unspecialized cells. A 5-day-old human embryo, called a blastocyst, contains an inner cell mass composed of about 12 embryonic stem cells.
Cloning can be used to produce a supply of unspecialized stem cells that can be induced to grow into various types of body cells.
The stem cells can be induced to differentiate into different types of cells as needed (heart, nerve, muscle, etc.). These cells are genetically identical to the patient's own cells (that is, they are cloned).

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a test that uses a magnetic field and pulses of radio wave energy to make pictures of organs and structures inside the body. In many cases, MRI gives different information about structures in the body than can be seen with an X-ray, ultrasound, or computed tomography (CT) scan.

Importance of MRI

MRI imaging provides a unique view into the interior of the human body and has become an essential tool of modern medical imaging and disease diagnosis. In many cases, MRI provides important diagnostic information that cannot be obtained with other imaging techniques.
MRI is particularly useful for:
  • Examining the brain, neck and spinal cord
  • Identifying bone and joint damage
  • Revealing brain abnormalities in people with Alzheimer’s Disease and dementia
  • Helping with the diagnosis of central nervous system disorders, like multiple sclerosis and strokes
  • Detecting breast cancer and damage to soft tissues
  • Evaluating blood vessels to detect areas of blockage
MRI has proven itself as an invaluable tool for the last 20 years, and Main Line Health Imaging radiologists are confident that advancing technology will find new applications for this important diagnostic resource.

Hybrid Cars

A hybrid vehicle uses two or more distinct types of power, such as internal combustion engine+electric motor, in diesel-electric trains using diesel engines and electricity from overhead lines, and submarines that use diesels when surfaced and batteries when submerged. Other means to store energy include pressurized fluid, in hydraulic hybrids.

This vehicles is newly advance cars it is designed not just for a good ride, fuel efficient but also a eco-friendly vehicle that doesn't run on Gas, This vehicles are engineered and designed to run using just electricity.

Battery-A hybrid car battery is like any other battery—except that it is rechargeable and has enough juice to move a large heavy vehicle down the road for a few feet or a few miles.
Generator-Free-piston engines could be used to generate electricity as efficiently as, and less expensively than, fuel cells. It Generates electricity to the engine of a hybrid vehicle.
Power Split Device-The power split device is a planetary gear set (below). The electric motor is connected to the ring gear of the gear set. It is also directly connected to the differential, which drives the wheels. So, whatever speed the electric motor and ring gear spin at determines the speed of the car.
Electric Motor-also called as electric generator, it produces electricity to battery and to the engine, it charges the battery while running.
Internal Combustion Engine-the engine that makes the vehicle run, it can be fueled like normal cars—but have an electric motor and battery, and can be partially or wholly powered by electricity.
